Children are the heart of the matter at Pigeon Mountain School. We are ambitious for our children and our expectations are high. We value good ethics and hard work. Not surprisingly, we have had many successes. The children achieve in their learning, they are proud of their sporting record and enjoy the performing arts and cultural activities. They learn ‘to be the best they can be’ and we celebrate their achievements and successes.
Pigeon Mountain Primary School was opened in 1979 to provide for the educational needs of the 5-11 year age group. The school Motto is “Education with a Heart” and our our mission for Pigeon Mountain School is to provide ‘education with a heart’. This means we will provide quality education within a caring environment.
Our vision is for our students to be “confident lifelong learners and caring citizens.”
Creating an environment which creates and sustains the learning and caring culture is a significant task, it is one that the school can not achieve in the absence of support and assistance from the parents.
The parent community is very supportive and seeks ways to assist the children in their education. The schools web site has been identified as a key enabler to enable the parents in their quest to support their children's education.
This project is to upgrade the school's web site; to provide a wide range of resources, guides and links which will enable the parents to support their children's education.
